Party Plan Credit Card Payments Stardust party agents can now take credit card payments via their mobile phones or using a computer virtual terminal. Before taking payments you need to consider the following:

- You will be charged 4% of the credit payments you take.

- The funds will be transferred into your paypal account each Friday for the previous weeks transactions.

- You will be liable for any charge backs from payments taken by you.
Step 1: Check Phone Compatibility The mobile phone system is called JavaPOS and runs on any Java based mobile phone and connects to the payment system via GSM or GPRS.


Step 2: Purchase a Credit Card Account

If you wish to take payments by mobile phone or using your computer you will need to purchase a credit card account. This facility is only offered to Stardust agents.

Step 3: Access Phone Software
Click here to send the setup details to your phone


Step 4: Payments Via Computer Wait for your account details to be confirmed. this will take 2 - 5 days.

DON'T LOG IN THROUGH YOUR AGENT PAGE AS IT SEEMS TO CAUSE ERRORS

Username: same as your Stardust username (lowercase)
Password: same as your Stardust password

Card Payment Details Screen

In order that a payment may be transacted there are several mandatory fields as
well as some optional information that may be

Order No: This field permits the agents to add their own unique transaction reference number.

Amount: Enter the value of the transaction here. The format must include a decimal point: 123.23

Card Number: Enter the credit or debit card number in full. No spaces are required.

Expiry Date: This is a mandatory field and the month and year must be entered correctly if the transaction is to be processed successfully by the bank.

Issue Number: This is required for debit cards only. Please enter the issue number for all debit cards processed.

CVV: This is an optional field. The CVV are the three extra digits printed on the reverse of the credit card. If this information can be obtained from the customer it should be entered as an additional security measure

House No: This is an optional field. If the house number of the cardholder can be obtained the bank will check these details to further validate a transaction.

Post Code: This is an optional field. If the post code of the cardholder can be obtained the bank will check these details.

When you have completed all the fields required, please click the 'Continue' button.
A payment screen will appear. Check the details and click 'Continue'.
Step 5: Payments Via Mobile Phone The application is installed in 'Games and Applications' in your phone

When opening it says:

1. Payment
2. Surcharge
3. Setup
4. Refund (agents are not authorised to refund by credit card)
5. Transaction History

(Setup is already done so didn't go into this at all).

To send payment, clicked payment

Card Number: Enter the card number with no spaces
Then it displays the number with next (to confirm) or back (to retype)

Expiry Date: Enter the expiry date (mmyy)

Issue Number: Enter or leave blank

Security Code: Enter three digit number on the back

Amount: Enter the amount in pence e.g. 500 =£5
(Click next then displays £5.00 for confirmation)

Reference Number: Enter Stardust
(This is what will be displayed on the card statement so make sure you enter Stardust or the customer may challenge the transaction)

Permissions
"Untrusted application MobilePOS v6.23 wants to send or receive information. This will require the use of airtime which may cost you money. Do you want to allow this?"

Then gives a reference number and transaction ID.

Trouble Shooting:

Caller ID and PIN not recognised
Go into the MobilePOPS application on their phone and go into Set Up
You will then be asked for the caller ID - this is your phone number (remembering to replace the 1st 0 with 44) - it will then ask for PIN Number - this is 1234

Check your phone settings
This means that your phone needs to be configured for GPRS. Call your service provider to help you with this.
