"I've always had a passion for popular culture iconography and kitsch. Inspired by the urban cool and gritty street culture of South East London, and my husband's nostalgia for his former punk days, we've created an alternative brand that will appeal to parents who grew up in the 60s, 70s and 80s," says Geraldine Bedford, designer, founder of Stardust Kids and mum of two. "Our clothes are for kids with attitude and parents who want to relive their party years again."
About Stardust Kids Stardust Kids was founded in 1998 by Geraldine Homewood, mother of two. Initially selling pop icon greeting cards and cufflinks, the arrival of Geraldine's first child in 2000 inspired her to create a children's wear range that reflected her own passion for popular culture iconography. The company got its first big boost when its Baby Punk items were featured at the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at the V&A Museum in 2004. Since then it has quietly grown its customer base in the UK, Scandinavia, Germany and the USA so that it is now sold in more than 200 boutiques worldwide including a Stardust Kids store in South East London. The range is also sold through a party plan scheme and drop shipping via numerous websites.
